Hey all,
Well I don't know if this is going to sound stupid or not, but today i got some new karaoke tracks, and one of them was we are the world. And a thought came to me, wouldn't be cool if I could get a bunch of people to record their part and I could mix the whole song? but it will be a lot of work and finding people is the hardest part of it all i think. But i love the song, and I've done it with another song and it was just so cool to hear it after it was all done, but I was just wondering if anyone would like to participate? I need male singers as well as female, since it was a mixture in the original song. It's just an idea for fun and for those who want to participate, for your enjoyment to. It has a chorus in the last part of it when the crowd sings together, so we probably only need each other to sing a little segment and I just mix all the parts in and I've got the song, so it's up to you. Please let me know by replying to this board, or private messaging me. thank you, and I hope this doesn't sound too dorky. lol.
Wow I can't believfe I'm the first person to reply to this. I think this is a great idea. I love singing. I just need to wait a while because I have a bit of a cough and can't sing well at the moment, but generally, I'm definitely up for it.

What must I do?
Well, I think that those who are interested should contact me. but you don't need to do much, just sing one or two lines and maybe something at the end if you're good at harmonizing. but you've just gotta have something to record yourself with like gold wave or sound forge or something, and record just your voice, so I can mix it in with the rest. I've got like ten or so people interested so far, and it's great. I've gotta get sound forge myself, and I can start mixing it all once people tell me which parts they want to sing, so just let me know.
Yeah this is alot of work and probably harder than you think it will be to mix together. especially the chorus part at the end. But best of luck an di hope you can pull it off. I'd like to hear it when its done, I'd partake .. but trust me you don't want me near the microphone lol.
Lol it's ok, there's a choir in the background at the end, so we don't have to do much harmonizing, but maybe just a little. So that's a good thing. I just need enough people to do the verses, and we're getting there. So we'll see what happens.
Yes, it is a lot of work, especially when most of the men's parts have to be tennors, and I dunno what I'm gonna do. But man do i have a good karaoke file and some good singers so far. I just really hope i can pull it off, but if anyone is interested or not, please let me know. I'm looking for mostly men, since there were mostly guys in the original for some reason or another. but it wouldn't hurt to have a few girls volunteer to. So please, if anyone's interested, let me know.
